coculture e.V. is seeking a part-time Finance Manager to support the implementation of its financial work and the Little Syria project. The role is responsible for financial management, allowability and eligibility checks, financial documentation, budget follow-up, and support in preparing interim and final financial reports in line with donor requirements. This is a Berlin-based position within the projects strategic management structure.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the projects financial administration on the coculture side Review costs for eligibility, allowability, and budget compliance Maintain complete and audit-ready financial documentation Support internal budget monitoring and expenditure tracking Coordinate with the local partner on financial records and supporting documents Support the preparation of interim and final financial reports Follow coculture internal financial procedures and donor compliance requirements Support financial follow-up related to transfers and reporting from the local partner Assist in responding to audit, verification, or clarification requests when required

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in NGO or donor-funded financial management Strong understanding of budget control, documentation, and compliance Experience with international donor requirements, ideally including GIZ, EU, UN, or foundation grants Strong Excel and financial tracking skills High attention to detail and strong organisational ability Very good written and spoken English; Arabic is an asset
